WHOIS is a database used to check if a domain has been registered and to view detailed information about the registered domain (such as domain owner, registrar, registration date, and expiration date). By querying the WHOIS server for the domain, you can find the owner's contact information as well as registration and expiration dates. You can access it at tool.pmeve.com/whois!
Explanation of the domain expiration and deletion rules:
International Domains:
(1) Resolution will be suspended on the day of expiration. If not renewed within 72 hours, the domain's DNS will be redirected to an advertisement page (parked). There is a retention period of 30-45 days after expiration (the duration varies by registrar policy).
(2) After the retention period, the domain will enter a redemption period (REDEMPTION PERIOD) of 30 days.
(3) After the redemption period, the domain will enter a deletion period of about 5 days, after which the domain becomes available for registration by anyone.
